According to a rumor from Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple plans to launch an updated Magic Keyboard for new iPad Air models in early 2024. The keyboard is expected to be compatible with both 11-inch and 13-inch versions of the tablet.

What We Know

The new iPad Air keyboard may incorporate features from the latest version of the Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro, which was released in May. Anticipated updates include a thinner and lighter design, an aluminum kickstand, an improved trackpad, and an extra row of keys for quick adjustments to screen brightness, volume, and other settings.

Gurman noted that the upcoming iPad Air models are codenamed J607 and J637, while the new keyboards are designated R307 and R308. Although they will resemble the iPad Pro keyboards, some features may be limited.
