According to well-known insider Mark Gurman, Apple plans to release a budget version of its Apple Vision headset next year, priced around $2000.

What We Know

The premium Apple Vision Pro, launched earlier this year at $3,499, has faced limited accessibility due to its high cost.

Gurman suggests that the budget version will likely feature a less powerful processor and more affordable materials. While the Vision Pro is powered by the M2 chip, the budget model is expected to use an A-series chipset, such as the A18 Pro, which would offer performance similar to the M1.

Additionally, the budget headset will likely forgo the EyeSight feature, which allows users’ eyes to be visible through lens-like displays.

Apple anticipates the budget model to sell twice as well as the Vision Pro. However, considering the Vision Pro's lukewarm reception, high sales for the budget version aren’t guaranteed.

Apple is also expected to release the Vision Pro 2 in 2026, featuring an upgraded chipset.
