Tesla's "Tesla We, Robot" presentation is set for today, October 10, in Los Angeles, where the company will unveil what it calls the "future of autonomy."

What We Know

The event is anticipated to cover topics such as robotaxis and new electric vehicle features. Bloomberg has already shared some intriguing details.

According to Bloomberg sources, Tesla's robotaxi will be named Cybercab. This vehicle is designed to accommodate two passengers and features gull-wing doors that open upwards. The Cybercab will rely on a combination of cameras and computing technology for navigation.

Notably, Elon Musk has opted not to include laser sensors in the Cybercab, unlike similar models from Cruise and Waymo. Musk made this decision due to the high cost of sensors and the belief that their functionality isn't essential.

Additionally, reports suggest that Tesla will introduce another vehicle at the presentation, referred to as the Robovan (a placeholder name) — a minibus capable of carrying up to ten passengers or small loads.

Bloomberg also notes that Musk will announce the Full Self-Driving feature for the Semi electric truck during the event.
