Apple recently unveiled its new MacBook Pro models featuring the powerful M4 chips, and alongside the performance boost, they’ve received a significant upgrade in display technology.
Here’s What We Know
According to industry insider Ross Young, the new MacBook Pro now comes with a quantum dot screen, replacing the red KSF phosphor film used in previous models.
Quantum dots (QDs) offer improved color accuracy and enhanced motion performance over KSF-phosphor technology. Additionally, the new display film is cadmium-free, making it a more environmentally friendly option.
While the MacBook Pro still uses LCD screens rather than QD-OLED panels, this upgrade represents a noticeable step forward in display quality. The enhancement is available across all new MacBook Pro models, regardless of whether they feature the nano-texture option.
