Google TV is expanding its home dashboard features to more devices.
What's New:
After a successful launch on Google TV Streamer and Chromecast, the new home panel is now available on TVs from brands like TCL, Hisense, and others. This panel lets users manage smart home devices such as Nest lights, fans, and thermostats. It also offers live views from Nest cameras and provides notifications for the Nest doorbell.
Although the panel’s functionality isn't as robust as the full Google Home app, it's still quite handy. Users can access it through the quick settings by holding down the home button. If the feature isn’t available yet, it's a good idea to check for updates on Google TV Home and other apps in the Play Store. The rollout for this feature is ongoing, with more improvements and expansions expected in the future.
