The Robovan is designed to accommodate up to 20 passengers along with cargo in high-density areas. Its exterior features a retro-futuristic design with silver metallic sides and black accents. Inside, there are both seating and standing areas, along with tinted glass. The vehicle operates fully autonomously, with no steering wheel.
Musk stated that Tesla aims to transform the appearance of roads to make them more futuristic. However, he did not provide information regarding the cost, production timeline, or plans for new manufacturing facilities. The Robovan prototype is similar in concept to other robotaxis like Zoox and Cruise but is significantly larger.
