Samsung is expanding its range of budget smartphones with the introduction of the new Galaxy A16 4G.

What We Know

This model is an enhanced version of the Galaxy A16 5G, featuring minor differences in specifications, primarily the MediaTek Helio G99 processor, which was also used in the previous A15 4G model.

The Galaxy A16 4G boasts a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, ensuring a bright and vibrant viewing experience. It comes with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded for additional space. For photography and videography, the smartphone includes a triple rear camera setup: a 50 MP main camera, a 5 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2 MP macro camera, along with a 13 MP front-facing camera.

Equipped with a robust 5000 mAh battery, the Galaxy A16 4G promises long-lasting usage. It supports 25W fast charging, allowing for quick power replenishment, though the charger is not included in the box.

The smartphone has an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance, supports dual-SIM functionality, and features NFC for convenient transactions. Additionally, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner ensures easy access. Running on Android 14, the Galaxy A16 4G is set to receive six years of operating system and security updates.

The device will be available in three attractive colors: grey, green, and dark blue. The official launch in Europe is anticipated for November, with pricing expected to be below €249 for the 5G version.
