Muting yourself during a Zoom call is simple and can be done in a few different ways. Here’s how:
1. Using the Mute Button on the Zoom Toolbar
- Desktop (Windows or Mac):
- Locate the microphone icon on the Zoom toolbar at the bottom left of the screen.
- Click on the icon to mute yourself. It will show a red line through the microphone when muted.
- To unmute, click the icon again.
- Mobile (iOS or Android):
- While in the Zoom meeting, tap anywhere on the screen to bring up the toolbar.
- Tap the microphone icon to mute or unmute yourself.
- The icon will display a red slash when muted.
2. Using Keyboard Shortcuts
- Windows: Press Alt + A to mute or unmute yourself.
- Mac: Press Command + Shift + A to mute or unmute.
3. Mute Yourself on Entry (Before Joining)
