Apple Launches Service Program for iPhone 14 Plus Models with Rear Camera Issue

Apple has introduced a new service program for iPhone 14 Plus devices sold between April 10, 2023, and April 28, 2024. This program addresses a rear camera issue affecting a small percentage of devices, which prevents users from seeing a preview.

How It Works

Owners of the iPhone 14 Plus can check eligibility by entering their device’s serial number on Apple’s support page. If eligible, the program covers free repairs for three years from the original purchase date, provided the device has no additional damage.

For those who have already paid for a repair, Apple offers refunds, as long as the repair was done through an authorized Apple service center. Eligible users can visit an Apple Authorized Service Provider, make an appointment at an Apple Store, or contact Apple Support to arrange for mail-in repairs.

Global Tablet Market Update

According to the International Data Corporation (IDC), global tablet shipments rose by 20.4% in Q3 2024, totaling 39.6 million units. Apple retained its top position, shipping 12.6 million tablets, a 1.4% year-over-year increase. Samsung followed with 7.1 million units, boosted by the Galaxy Tab A9 series, and Amazon ranked third with 4.6 million units, marking an impressive 111.3% growth fueled by Amazon Prime Day.
