Tesla introduced the fully autonomous Cybercab robotaxi during its "We, Robot" event.

This marks the company's first fully unmanned vehicle designed to accommodate up to two passengers.

The Cybercab features a design similar to the Cybertruck, showcasing the same futuristic style.

Inside, the cabin lacks a steering wheel and pedals; instead, it has a touchscreen display that shows trip information and offers various entertainment options. As mentioned earlier, the car's doors open upward in a "gull-wing" style.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk claims that riding in the Cybercab robotaxi will be ten times safer than traveling in traditional driver-operated vehicles.

Interestingly, the Cybercab will not feature a charger, as it will recharge inductively.

Musk mentioned that Cybercab services will cost only $0.20 per mile (1.6 km), significantly lower than the $1 per mile rate for public transportation.

Tesla will require time to gain approval for the use of this transport on city streets. Texas and California are at the top of the list for launching fully autonomous driving, expected to happen in 2025.

The company aims to begin full production of the Cybercab in 2026, although it may be pushed back to 2027.

Preliminary estimates suggest that the cost of the Tesla Cybercab robotaxi will not exceed $30,000.

Blogger and journalist Sawyer Merritt showcased the first ride in the Cybercab.
